NEW VIDEO FOR "ANIMALS OF PRIDE!"

Happy Friday!

We're dropping a line to let you know that our first music video is now up. We shot the video for "Animals of Pride" ourselves, using only our phones. The footage is from five different cemeteries in Nashville and Franklin, TN. It was shot in one weekend, and edited by us over the following week. We absolutely loved the process and hope it connects with you.

The shows for the rest of this month are below, and we'll be doing some touring throughout the Spring and Summer, including a tour in August with BELLS≥ (Brooklyn) and the EFFECTS (DC) . . . and J. Robbins will also be playing one of the shows! Confirmations are still pending, but you can be sure we'll be blasting those dates far and wide as soon as they're locked down.

Be good to one another. We'll talk soon.
Yours in friendship and rock,
Jerry and B.

Spring shows!

Hello out there!

Happy Spring to you all.

We had the best time on tour in February. Thanks to all who came out, shook our hands, played with us, and just made the whole experience so positive. We can't wait to return to those towns!

We have some tour dates shaping up for May, and we'll be sure to send them out to you when they're all confirmed. In the more immediate future, we have two shows somewhat close to home. We play a rad house show in Murfreesboro TN on April 17th, and we're stoked to be playing with Mutoid Man in Louisville KY on April 25th! Tickets for that are on sale now, and might sell out. Be sure to grab yours!

We hope you're enjoying the new album. If you don't have DAVE yet, physical copies can be purchased here (in three formats!), and it's available on iTunes. Our last EP, GARFIELD, is also up on iTunes and Spotify, as of just last week! It was previously only available on cassette and download via bandcamp.

Both releases benefit important causes. One dollar of every copy of DAVEwill be donated to HIV/AIDS programs, and one dollar of every copy ofGARFIELD will be donated to animal rescue efforts.

Be good to one another. We'll talk soon.

Yours in friendship and rock,
Jerry and B.

We have hand-numbered cassettes and CDs at the ready. Vinyl is being made, and should ship out in May. Order now!

PRE-ORDER THE DAVE ALBUM TODAY!

Happy 2016, everyone!

Our first album is up for pre-order today! You can order whichever format(s) of DAVE you wish, and you'll get one song from the record now, "Animals of Pride." All physical formats will include the digital download of the album, and all but vinyl will ship out on the release day, February 12th. Because vinyl is such a complicated beast, it takes significantly longer to press. We're shooting for May 1st as the shipping date for that format. It's our first vinyl release!

One dollar of every copy sold (in any format) will be donated to HIV/AIDS programs.

A little bit about our new project: we made this album twice. Remember last Spring when we sent you a newsletter that said something like, "Our album is done! We can't wait to let you know when it will be out!"? Well, that was true. We sat on that record for a little bit, sussed out our best options for releasing it, and made the GARFIELD EP in the meantime. As you know, that EP came out this past October. Alas, it was better than the album we'd made. Somehow we had changed as a band, and we wanted our first album to reflect who and what we really are today.

We went back to the body of work formerly known as our album, kept four songs, kissed the rest goodbye and started over. We wrote the rest of the story, recorded it all, and it became DAVE. It is the story of changed perspectives, from negative to positive. It's about being the person you want to be, despite the losses and disappointments life will inevitably deliver. We hope you connect with it.

We tracked the record ourselves. Jerry mixed it. Alex McCollough mastered it.

The artwork is by B. David Walsh, of course. The pineapple is his sacred image, and it is also the image of welcome and friendship. We thought it was exactly right for this project and we're so grateful to have collaborated with him once more. The graphic rendering was done by our beloved team member, Ric Simenson.

Our updated tour schedule for next month is below. Two of our eleven shows are sold out (!), but there are still tickets for the rest. We can't wait to see all of you, and to share this new work we're so proud of. Happy pre-order day, and happy new year.

Yours in friendship and rock,
Jerry and B.

The Album, The Tour, and Holiday Discounts

Hey friends,

We have some solid updates for you this month. The album we've been telling you about for a while now finally has a name and release date: Our debut full-length, DAVE, will be released on February 12th, 2016. We're so stoked to be able to finally share this work with you; it's been a long time in the making. Pre-order will start on January 15th, and we'll share the cover art as well as available formats with you then.

Mere days after the album comes out, we'll be on the road in support of it. Our February tour dates are still being finalized, but several of them are confirmed and listed at the bottom of this post. Have we mentioned that we're a duo full time now? We are. We have been since September (and a for couple shows before that, here and there). We've played with some rad bassists in our time as a band, but it became clear that we'd be able to tour more as a duo. It's actually been a blast. So, if you've seen us before as a trio, we have something new for you.

As for right now, we're writing, rehearsing, and running the record label. If you want to give the gift of FC this holiday season, we've tried to make it as easy as possible. You can now buy downloads of GARFIELD, "TSS001"and the Halloween singles together for 15% less than buying them individually. We also have cassettes (that come with download codes), tote bags, T's and buttons. Because we love you, here's a code to take 10% off of our physical wares through Christmas day, too: FCPALS

We'll gift-wrap anything you ask us to, free of charge; just add a note to do so when you pay.

Huge thanks to all who have supported the GARFIELD release! Ditto, our most recent Halloween single. We made donations to a local animal rescue organization AND to the Butler Center for addition research, thanks to all of you. We truly appreciate you. Happy holidays.

Rock,
FC

THE EAST COAST, THE ALBUM, AND THANKS

Hey there!

Just checking in after a busy season. Thanks to everyone who made October such a great month for us. We released the GARFIELD EP and our Halloween Single, "The Killing Moon" just thirteen days apart - and loved every minute of it. As promised, all proceeds from the latter were donated to the Butler Center for Addiction Research (part of the Hazelden group) in memory of Ryan McNulty. And, we just made a donation to a local animal rescue group as the result of having sold a hefty number of EPs. So, thank you!

As we've mentioned in recent months, we're joining the Loved Ones for two of their reunion tour dates: February 16th at DC9 in DC (almost sold out!), and February 19th at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City (sold out!). We have a full East Coast tour shaping up that month, and we'll be posting confirmed dates in the next few weeks. We're really looking forward to returning to those areas.

And . . . we'll have an album to sell. We've been waiting for the right time to put it out, and it's getting closer. More on that soon. Much more. Until then, we're so happy with this new body of work, GARFIELD. Grab a physical copy or download today.

THIS YEAR'S HALLOWEEN SINGLE IS HERE!

Happy almost Halloween!

It's our favorite time of year, partly because we get to cover a song and release it for Halloween, and partly because pumpkins, ghouls and goblins simply rule. So, we give you our third Halloween single,"The Killing Moon." This beloved 1984 song by Echo and the Bunnymen was just dying to be re-recorded, so we caved in. As always, all of the single's proceeds will be donated to addiction research. This year, donations will be made in loving memory of Ryan McNulty.

If you're in need of more spooky cheer, feel free to partake of our Halloween singles from years past, "Pet Sematary" (2013) and "Them Bones" (2014).

We're stoked to announce that we're joining The Loved Ones for another show on their reunion tour in February. In addition to the sold out show at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC on February 19th, we'll also be with them at DC9 in Washington DC on February 16th. Tickets went on sale this week! We'll be adding other tour dates of our own for that month soon, as well.

Lastly, we're playing a fun local show next week (Nov. 5th) with The Birth Defects and Sheep Shifter at The End. Might be our last show in Nashville for a little while, so come hang!

Thanks to everyone who made the GARFIELD release weekend such a blast, and to everyone who has bought the EP so far! Grab a copy today!

Rock,

THE NEW EP IS HERE!

Friends!

The GARFIELD EP is here! We're so happy to be able to share this body of work with you all. Digital and analog copies can be bought here! As we said before, one dollar of every EP sold will be donated to animal rescue efforts in memory of the late, great Garfield Candy-Goodman. Lyrics can be read here.

Thanks to the Nashville Cream and We Own This Town for previewing and reviewing the third track, "Jean Dark."

Our release show is tonight at the Stone Fox in Nashville. We'll be joined by local bands Shadraq and Desmond (new project by Duane Denison and Paul Allen). Here's a write-up that the Nashville Scene did about it! We'll be over at Grimey's Too for an earlier in-store set today at noon.

The Halloween single will be released on October 30th, just in time for the best holiday of the year! In the meantime, check out the Halloween singles we've released so far: "Pet Sematary" (2013) and "Them Bones" (2014). All proceeds go to addiction research!

Thanks for your continued support. Don't forget to support your independent music stores, too. Grimey's, Fond Object, and The Groove all have our new tape, plus tons of other rad music. Happy Cassette Store Day!

Yours in friendship and rock,

Jerry and B.

PRE-ORDER THE NEW FC EP, GARFIELD!

Hey dudes!

The GARFIELD EP is now up for pre-order! The EP will be released on October 17th, and at that time, we will send out all pre-ordered cassettes (which each include a digital download) AND make the freestanding digital download available. For now, we're just allowing the order of the hard-copy tapes. There are only one-hundred in existence, they're each hand-numbered, and one dollar of every EP sold will be donated to animal rescue efforts. The third track, "Jean Dark," is up for preview and will also download immediately with your pre-order. ORDER NOW!

To celebrate the new music, we're having a proper release show at Nashville's own Stone Fox. We'll be joined by Shadraq as well as Desmond, the new project by Duane Denison and Paul Allen. The evening promises to rule, so get tickets now!

Speaking of tickets, the Loved Ones reunion show we're playing at Bowery Ballroom in February? SOLD OUT. That's right - in five days, no less. Can't wait.

Last, but not least, we're stoked to report that we're officially part of the Death Wish Coffee family. We make caffeine-fueled music, and they make damn good coffee. Win/Win!

B.A. Signed with D'Addario and we have new limited edition merch!

Dudes!

Killer news around here: B. signed an artist deal with the rad folks over at D'Addario/Planet Waves! She'll be playing them on and off stage going forward, just as she has been for fifteen years. So cool!

Also, we made some new limited-edition merch with our lightning logo. These bags were made with a hand-cut stencil and some good ol' spray paint. It's a run of fifteen bags, and they're all hand-numbered. They come in two sizes: Small, 13.5" x 13.5 (black only), and Large, 18" x 15.5" (Black, Grey, Brown, and Natural). Can be used to carry rekkids, skateboards, groceries, art supplies, guitar cables etc. Grab one!

Lastly, the show we were scheduled to play on August 29th was canceled. BUT, we're playing the 26th at Springwater in Nashville, and we'll be live on the WRFN Nashville (103.7 & 107.1) the next night, August 27th. Tune in at 9 pm CST to hear us on The Real Music City, playing live and talking about what we're up to. Should be a great time!
